How to Buy Your First Liquidation Pallet

Buying your first liquidation pallet starts with choosing inventory that fits your selling channel, storage space and budget. NWOT Outlet offers small boxes, pallets and truckloads of apparel, footwear and general merchandise. Each listing has its own assortment, condition and fulfillment terms.

1. Start with a manageable lot

A small box can help you test a category before committing to a pallet or truckload. Decide how much merchandise you can inspect, photograph, store and sell.

2. Read the manifest and condition notes

Review the unit count, available manifest, size mix, category breakdown and product photos. Check whether photos show the actual inventory or representative stock images. New with tags, shelf pulls and returns can require different preparation; use the condition stated on the specific listing. Assortments vary, and estimated retail value is not a promised resale price.

3. Calculate your landed cost

Add the lot price, shipping and applicable taxes or handling charges. Divide that total by the listed selling-unit count to estimate landed cost per unit. For example, a $1,200 lot with 300 units starts at $4 per unit before shipping, taxes and selling costs. Sets may count as one selling unit. Allow for marketplace fees, packaging, labor and items that may not sell.

4. Confirm shipping origin and pickup

Inventory can ship from our Fullerton warehouse or a partner location. Ohio partner truckloads ship from Ohio and are not available for Fullerton pickup. Confirm the listing's delivery terms, receiving requirements and pickup eligibility before paying.

5. Review the terms before ordering

Read our return policy: all sales are final. Ask questions about any unclear manifest, condition or shipping detail before purchasing. Resale results depend on the assortment, demand and your selling costs.
